Jim R Huntley

Jim R. Huntley, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, in Macon, GA. A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 3, 2018, at 6PM, at Harts Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service.

Mr. Huntley was born on September 2, 1947. He graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and was the owner of the Mattress Barn. He enjoyed “mighty fine” red wine and fast cars. He was a professional Poker player and his love for gambling allowed him to win the World Series of Poker in 1996 and multiple other tournaments. He loved his American Bulldog, Jade AKA “Big Girl”.

Mr. Huntley was predeceased by his father, James Huntley; his mother, Lela Clem Huntley; sisters, Melva and Charlene.

Mr. Huntley is survived by his daughter, Dr. Christina Leigh Huntley (Cristian) Noguera; stepchildren, Twila (Gene) Smith and Rodney Rea; sister, Suzy Thompson of Texas; nephew, Scott Hensley; Close friends, Beth Elliott, Caroline Thomas, and Marilyn Huntley.
