Jerry Ceveland Sapp Sr.

Jerry Cleveland Sapp, Sr., age 80, of Gordon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. Burial followed the service at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. 

Jerry was born on July 20, 1945, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Henry Cleveland Sapp and Martha Jane Peacock Sapp. He worked for many years as a master plumber with Pyles Plumbing, where he was known for his skill, hard work, and dedication. Outside of work, he found great joy in the outdoors, especially in deer hunting—a pastime that brought him peace and many cherished memories with friends and family. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Peggy Sapp of Gordon, Georgia; children: Jerry C. Sapp Jr. (Kat), Sonya Song (Eric), and Jason Sapp (Kelly); grandchildren: J.C. Sapp III, Courtney Song-Crump, Corey Song, Cody Song, Chayton Song, Chayne Song, Bethany Griffin, and Brandon Sapp; ten great grandchildren; brother, Stevie Sapp (Bonnie) of Cochran, Georgia; and sisters, Janice Smith (Charles) and Barbara Yeomans (Billy), both of Cochran, Georgia.
