Jerry Dean Mcpherson

Jerry Dean McPherson, 78, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 21, 2019, at his residence in Macon, Georgia. Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola. A funeral service will be held for Mr. McPherson at 2:00pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola with Pastor Rusty Smith and Pastor Ed Chambless officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Jerry was born February 18, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John S. and Mildred C. McPherson (Skelton). He was a 1957 graduate of Warner Robins High School. He married the love of his life, Anne Mercier, on September 29, 1962. He retired from Mid-South Contracting & Insulation. Jerry was better known to his grandchildren as Mc Mc. Jerry attended Mikado Baptist Church, where he was known as the “Baseball Card Man” and used this as his ministry to reach people of all ages and invite them to church. He never met a stranger and loved his wife, family, and his church.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Reggie McPherson. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 56 years, Anne McPherson; children, Brian McPherson (Christi), Kevin McPherson, Holly McPherson Conley (Dean); grandchildren, Macy McPherson, Conner McPherson, Molly Grace McPherson, Tyler McPherson, Aaron Fletcher (Rebekah), Whitney Fletcher, and Baeli Conley.
