Jehoiada "Jay" Buchanan

February 2, 1945 — October 7, 2008

Macon-Jehoiada "Jay" Buchanan, 63, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Hart's at the Cupola Chapel, 6324 Peake Road, Macon with the Reverend Joe Williams, Jr. officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Distrophy Association, www.mda.org.

Mr. Buchanan owned J.T. Industrial Contractors, Inc. He was a Green Beret in the United States Army serving two tours in Vietnam. Jay was an avid fisherman, golfer, and tennis player.

He was the father of the late Brandon Buchanan. He was loved and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

Jay is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Buchanan; daughter, Cherann Buchanan; grandson, Bennett Buchanan all of Macon; two brothers, Wilson Buchanan (Carolyn) of Washington and Gerald Buchanan (Betty) of Atlanta; two sisters, Debbie Ragans (Gerald) of Palatka, FL and Carol Blair (Billy) of Jennings, FL; mother, Gaye Buchanan of Jasper, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
