Jeffrey William Bowden

Jeffrey William Bowden, age 45, of Gray, GA passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 with his children by his side.

Jeff was born on January 12,1976 to the late Lloyd W. Bowden and Trudy Mitchell Bowden. He grew up in Gray surrounded by his close family and friends. Jeff graduated from Jones County High School, class of 1994, and has been a dedicated employee for UPS for the past 27 years. He also was a lifelong member of Gray United Methodist Church. Jeff had a great love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and his Georgia Bulldogs. More than anything, he loved his children and his family. To know Jeff, was to love him. He was a friend to everyone he knew.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Candler Bowden, of Gray; Children: Logan Bowden Bentley (Nick), Thomas Seth Bowden, and Annie Dove Bowden; Mother: Trudy Mitchell Bowden; Siblings: Lloyd T. Bowden and Cheney Bowden Maynard (Eric); Step mother: Linda Bowden Coulter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd W. Bowden.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 6, 2021, at Gray United Methodist Church, with the reverends Jason Dillard and Dylan Bowden officiating.  The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time.  There will be a private, family only, graveside service at Highview Cemetery to follow.
