Jean Petermann Patrick

Jean Petermann Patrick, 77, entered her heavenly home and into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, May 24, 2015, after her illness with cancer. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Bellevue Baptist Church, 5925 Price Road, Macon, GA with Reverend Steve Foxworth officiating. The family will receive guests following the celebration service. Burial will be privately held at Mt. Vernon Christian Church. The Reverend John King will be officiating. Jean was born in Lexington, Mississippi to the late Harold and Jewel Petermann. She attended Hinds Junior College and received her degree in Business Education from Delta State University. On May 4, 1968, Jean married the love of her life, Thomas Franklin Patrick. Jean taught school in Cobb County, Georgia and worked for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in Atlanta. She was a church secretary in Gwinnett County and also worked for the late Larry Burkette with Christian Financial Concepts. After moving to Macon in 1997, Jean worked at Save-A-Life Ministries (now Caring Solutions Pregnancy Center) for 10 years. Jean was the bright smiling face who greeted everyone with her cheerful spirit, and touched many lives with her love of the Lord. Jean was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Jean's memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 47 years, Tom Patrick; her daughter, Leigh Douthit (James); three precious grandchildren, Claire, Jake and Grace Douthit; a brother, Harold Petermann (Becky) of Mississippi, four nephews, many great nephews and nieces, Jean's church family and her many friends. Jean is pre-deceased by her parents, Harold and Jewel Petermann; and a brother, Bobby Petermann of Mississippi. Flowers are welcome.
