Jay Landon Jones

Jay Landon Jones, age 47, of Macon died Thursday, March 10, 2011. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at St Paul's Episcopal Church, 753 College Street, Macon, Georgia with the Reverend Hal Weidman officiating. He was born in Macon, Georgia on October 22, 1963, the son of the late Jimmy Landon Jones. He was a graduate of Mount de Sales and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was an independent insurance agent. He is survived by his mother, Julia J. House; stepfather, Robert O. House of Macon; fiancé, Kimberly Shaver of North Augusta, South Carolina; sister, Jennifer (Randy) Blackmon; nephew, Will Blackmon; niece, Abby Blackmon of Sugar Hill; stepbrother, Bobby (Iris) House of Macon; stepsister, Bonnie (Steve) Arbo of Fernandina Beach, Florida; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart of Georgia Humane Society, heartofgahs.org, as Jay was an avid animal lover.
