Jannis Nix

Jannis Nix, 70, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverends Jack Gregory and John Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends Thursday, December 19, 2013, between 5:00-7:00PM at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association of Georgia, 5962 Zebulon Road #359, Macon, Georgia 31210, Morningside Baptist Church, 3519 Jeffersonville Road, Macon, Georgia 31217, or donor's favorite charity. Jannis retired from Robins Air Force Base after 37 years of service. She volunteered at Coliseum Medical Center with cancer patients. She was a longtime member and church musician at Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Nix; son, Bryan Nix (Angela); granddaughters, Katherine and Elizabeth Nix; father, Hampton Stallworth; aunt, Maxine Hardwick; and extended family and friends.
