Janice Francis Smith departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 03, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church on Pea Ridge Road with the Reverend Jimmy Corbitt officiating. The family will receive friends at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery entering through the North Gate. Born on October 07, 1946, in Twiggs County, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Dean and James Lamar Francis. She was a homemaker who adored raising her children, maintaining her home and an avid enthusiast of all of God's creatures, especially birds. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, James Richard Smith, Jr., and brother, James Lamar Francis, Jr. Mrs. Smith is survived by her loving husband, Richard Smith of Macon; devoted daughter, Kristi Smith of Dahlonega; sister, Connie Francis of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Rick Cucci of Warner Robins; brother, Donald Francis of Macon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
