Janet Hagan Rape' went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 07, 2009. A celebration service will be held 1 pm Monday, February 9, 2009 at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola on Peake Road. The Reverend William Rappe' will be presiding. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rape' was a charter member since 1936 of the First Assembly of God of Macon where she was a Sunday School teacher, a choir director, regional officer of Women's Aglow Fellowship, Youth leader, and Sectional Women's Ministry Director. Mrs. Rape' was an amateur artist and a member of the Byron Garden Club. Late in her life, she started college at Macon Junior College. She enjoyed journalism and was a regular columnist in the newspaper.

Mrs. Rape' is survived by her son Reverend William (Sharon) Rappe' of Fairfax Station, Virginia, grandchildren Michelle (David) Scruggs of Gastonia, North Carolina, Elizabeth (Chad) Speight of Lorton, Virginia and Janet (Steve) Gause of Springfield, Missouri, 3 great grandchildren, son-in-law Reverend Billy J. Colton of Plant City, Florida, and brother James Ogal Hagan of Lee, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Rape' and daughter Cherie Cotton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to King's Kids Ministries, El Salvador, P.O. Box 10008, Panama City, Florida, 32404-1008.
