Janet Sawyer Mitchell

Janet Sawyer Mitchell, 75, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. The family will greet friends Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Swindon, England on October 22, 1939, to the late Jack and Betty Sawyer, both deceased. She lived all over the United States including many years in San Diego, CA until moving to Macon, GA in 1988. Mrs. Mitchell worked for many years for K-Mart and Macy's Department Stores until retirement in 2003. Mrs. Mitchell leaves behind a husband, William C. Mitchell, of 28 years. Son, Terry Vedas (the late Isabelle Vedas) 2 daughters, Christina Brown and Caroline Vedas. 2 step sons, Clifford Mitchell, deceased, Lance Mitchell and wife Constance Mitchell. 2 brothers, David Sawyer and wife Jackie, Geoffery Sawyer and wife Diana. 5 grandchildren, John Brown, Zachary Brown, Amanda Brown, Jessica Vedas, Spencer Mitchell. 1 granddaughter in law, Janneshea Elder.
