James Edward Worsham

James Edward "Jimmy" Worsham, 76, of Macon, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Northridge Baptist Church with the Reverend Bob Hamilton, the Reverend Bob Powell, and Sheriff Darren Mitchum officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery (North gate). The family will greet friends Friday night from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Mr. Worsham was a member of Northridge Baptist Church. He was a 1952 graduate of Lanier High School. He was retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company and was the owner of Worsham Cattle Company. Mr. Worsham was a member of the American Hereford Association as well as past president of the Georgia Hereford Association. Affectionately known as ‘Papa Worsham', he was a volunteer softball and baseball coach at Twiggs Academy and Cross Keys Shurlington Little League. Mr. Worsham loved playing softball and He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Son of the late Russell Edward Worsham and Ethel Adele Capps Worsham, he was predeceased by a son, Mitchell Edward Worsham; great granddaughter, Alyssa Favors; and brother, Tommy Worsham.

Mr. Worsham is survived by his wife, Suzanne Howells Worsham of Twiggs County; son, Ricky Worsham(Angela) of Twiggs County; five grandchildren, Kacey Worsham Favors (Michael) of Gray, Summer Worsham, Jessie Worsham Lavender (Clay), Jake Worsham and Levi Worsham, all of Twiggs County; four great grandchildren, Noah Favors, Megan Favors, Madison Lavender, and Kinley Lavender; siblings, Sybil Jones of Macon, Jerry Worsham (Aileen) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Billy Worsham (Barbara) of Gray, Beverly Jones (Eddie) of Gray, Danny Worsham of Macon, Steve Worsham (Sandra) of Roswell, Faye Johnson (Jerry) of Macon, Rusty Worsham (Gwen) of Macon and Brenda Shreve of Macon; and sister-in-law, Jane Worsham of Jones County.
