James "Jimmy" W. Bailey, Jr.

Jimmy Bailey, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 10, 2018 at Harts Mortuary, Jones County Chapel at 2 PM with the Reverend Tommy Martin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Gray, Georgia. Military rites will be held at the Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born on July 7, 1945 in Macon, GA to James W. and Annie Laurie (Balkcom) Bailey Sr. He served his country in the Air Force and then was employed as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Macon. He is survived by his wife, Ginger (DuLong) Bailey, who he married on September 29, 1967. Also surviving are 2 sons, Jimmy (Julie) Bailey, Round Oak, Georgia, Robby (Lynn) Bailey, Haddock, Georgia; daughter, Tora (Kevin) Christopher, Jefferson, Georgia; sister, Sandra Whitaker, Brunswick, Georgia; brother in Law, Arthur DuLong, Hillsboro, Georgia; grandchildren: Riley and Bella Christopher, Jay Bailey, Tristin Lanham; niece, Laurie Bullard; nephews, Chuck and Jason Whitaker; cousins, Bob and Mike Bailey, Tommy and Jimmy Jones. He was predeceased by his parents James W. and Annie Laurie (Balkcom) Bailey Sr. and a sister, Barbara Ann Bailey.
