James Thompson, 77, of Fort Valley, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. A graveside funeral service were held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 4:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with the Reverend John Haney officiating.

Mr. Thompson retired from Armstrong after 38 years of service. He loved golf and bowling.

Mr. Thompson is survived by son, James T. Thompson; daughter, Sarah Sauls; sisters, Alma Lancaster and Audrey Frances Holly; and eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
