James (Jimmy) Roland Chester, Jr.

James (Jimmy) Roland Chester, Jr., of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road Macon, Georgia 31210.  Private funeral services for the family only will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 2:00PM with Pastor Antonie Walker officiating.

James was born in Macon, Georgia, on August 8, 1943, to the late Roland Chester and Ruth Chester.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Chester.

James was retired from the Bibb County Board of Education where he worked as a special education teacher.

James’s memory will live on with his wife of 52 years, Cheryl K. Chester; children, Jaymie Bridges (Bryan) and Allison Johnson (Howard); grandchildren, Nathan Cowart, Kaitlyn Cowart, Madeleine Frank, Noah Bridges, Taylor Mobley, Carter Johnson, and Dalton Johnson; and a host of extended family and friends.
