James Pittman Wood

James Pittman Wood, 40, of Juliette, Georgia, died Tuesday, May, 7, 2013. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Mr. Wood was born in Columbus, Georgia and moved to Macon in 1981. He was a member of the Sioux Nation and a direct descendant of Chief Sitting Bull. James attended Central Georgia Tech and was a certified air condition technician, an independent contractor, jack of all trades and a superior craftsman. He was predeceased by his mother, Debra (Cadotte) Floyd, step-father, Martin Floyd, and grandparents, Kemper Butler and Nell Pate. Mr. Wood is survived by his parents, Paul and Vicki Wood; sisters and brothers, Erin Wood Jacobs, Jennifer (David) Fleming, Matthew Wood and Ken Pritchett; niece, Aspen Grace Jacobs.; extended family and friends.
