James Edwin "Ned" Hatcher, Sr.

Macon-James Edwin "Ned" Hatcher, Sr., 89, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009. He will be greatly missed by his children and family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 26, 2009 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Mark Grinsted officiating. Burial is in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Flowers are accepted.

Mr. Hatcher was born May 17, 1920 in Macon, GA. to the late Ross L. Hatcher, Sr. and the late Maude E. Cox Hatcher. He was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. Hatcher; his father and mother; and his brothers and sisters, Ross, Elmo, Bob, Wilbur, Warren, Estelle H. Harrison and Emily H. Woodard.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol Helmer of Macon; son, Jimmy Hatcher (Sheila) of Macon; son, Larry Hatcher (Faye) of Macon; grandchildren, Jimbo Hatcher (Jessica) of Macon, Jaime Greenberg (Brett) of Florida, Larry Hatcher, Jr. of Macon; and three precious great grandchildren who loved him dearly.
