James "Jim" Mccook

James “Jim” McCook, 80, of Milledgeville, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

Jim was the son of the late Frances and Obed McCook. He served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army and then retired from Roadway Express. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Selma J. McCook, brother, Robert McCook and sister, Margaret Bell.

Jim is survived by his children, Michelle (Tommy) Prince, of Forsyth, Georgia and James McCook of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren Autumn Middlebrooks of Byron, Georgia, Caleb (Jessica) Woods of Byron, and Lauren (Dustin) Mullis of Hawkinsville, Georgia; great grandchildren, Natalie, Noah, Kenzie and Nova; brother, Fred (Ilene) McCook; and sister, Patsy (Jimmy) Bass.
