James J. Mccarty, Jr.

James J. McCarty, Jr., 84, of Macon, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  A memorial service will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Lizella Baptist Church with the Reverend Chris Minton officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Rd., Lizella, GA 31052.

Son of the late James J. McCarty, Sr. and Mary Frances Watts McCarty, James was a member of Lizella Baptist Church. He retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1995.  He enjoyed driving his corvette, playing a round of golf, and visiting all 50 states.  James was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Patricia “Pat” McCarty,

James is survived by his daughter, Pam Story (Mark) of Macon; son, Ken McCarty (Anita) of Musella; two grandsons, Seth Story (Jordan Blankenship) and Colby Story, both of Macon; sisters, Patsy McCarty and Sue Dye; brothers, Donnie McCarty (Janice), Butch McCarty (Vickie), Steve McCarty (Diane), and Dean McCarty.
