James Larry Maddox

Lizella- Larry Maddox, of Lizella, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 4406, Macon, GA 31208. Mr. Maddox retired from Robins Air Force Base and coached little league baseball for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Phil Maddox, and parents, Jesse and Iris Maddox. Survivors: Wife of 43 years, Ethel Maddox of Lizella, GA; Son, Allen Maddox of Lizella, GA; Daughter, Laura Bass (Wade) Mcelmurray of Lizella, GA; Son, Jesse Maddox of Lizella, GA; Sister, Lois (Owen) Martin of Bonaire, GA; Sister, Kay (Ronnie) Carol of Florida; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
