James Albert King, Jr., 75, of Macon, Georgia died Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, with Pastor Phil Bryant officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. King was an employee at Brown Williamson for eighteen years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Cuban Missile Crisis on a mine sweep named the U.S.S.Yazoo. He was a member of the MacGregor Clan and the Greenfield Masonic Lodge. Mr. King was listed in Who's Who for engineering. He was the son of the late James Albert King, Sr. and the late Alta Elizabeth Jenny Thomas King, and was predeceased by his son, John Samuel King. Mr. King is survived by his son, James "Trey" A. King, III; daughters, Janis Schoenbeck (Ron) and Jessica Mathews; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Charles King (Carol); and many cousins, and nephews and nieces.
