Macon- James Edwin (Ed) Hulett, 78, of Macon, died Thursday, April 29, 2010. Services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11:00AM at Tattnall Square Baptist Church with the Reverends Max Patterson, David Mosely, Glenn Haskins, and Perry Porter officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Monday from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tattnall Square Baptist Church, Home Maintenance Fund, 4925 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31210. Mr. Hulett was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the deacons and taught the Colson Sunday School Class. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1986 after thirty-seven years of service. Mr. Hulett was predeceased by his first wife, Rrelier Cooper Hulett, four brothers and one sister. Mr. Hulett is survived by his wife, Louise Smith Hulett of Macon; daughter, Vicki Hulett of Macon; son, Jamie Hulett (Susan) of Macon; two step-sons, Stan Smith (Annette) of Dublin and Steve Smith (Melba) of Macon; six grandchildren, Stephanie Hulett of Macon, Patrick Hulett of Macon, Wade Smith (Kelly) of Dublin, Rachel Smith of Macon, Richard Smith of Macon, and Dallas Christian (Kristy) of Dublin; one great-grandson, Cooper Smith of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews.
