James Edwin Goodwin: 83, of Forsyth, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Chip Grantham will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Born in Millen, Georgia, he was the son of the late William K. Goodwin and Mary Beatrice Womack Goodwin. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Sexton Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army, Fourth Infantry Division. He is survived by his sons, Michael Frank Goodwin (Debra) of Cordele, Ga. and Edwin Alan Goodwin(Linda) of Forsyth, Ga. Grandchildren, Katrina Wheeler of West Palm Beach, Florida; Jessica Harper of Cordele, Ga.; Sam Gladney of Cordele, Ga.; Kelly Robertson of Buford, Ga.; Pamela Vinson of Nashville, Tn.; Suzanne Sidari of South Korea.
