James C. Shelton

Macon- James C. Shelton, born in 1939 in Macon, Georgia, died on Sunday, June 12, 2011, following an extended illness. The family will greet friends on Saturday, June 25, 2011, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to All About Animals, 101 Riverside Drive, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Shelton was predeceased by his parents, James Clyde Shelton and "Foots" Shelton, and his sister, Patsy Walker. He was retired from the United States Air Force, after joining at the age of seventeen, and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. Mr. Shelton is survived by his beloved Shih-Tzu, Pat-Pat; sisters, Virginia Faye Brunson (Stan), Nancy Ann Crutchfield, and Linda Dover (Wayne); brother, Dean Shelton (Vivian); six nephews and three nieces.
