Jackson Bacchus

Jackson L. Bacchus, 59, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Benjamin Scott officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. Family will greet friends between 5:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Cupola. Mr. Bacchus was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a graduate of Central High School. He attended University of Georgia where he was a member of the Red Coat Marching Band. Mr. Bacchus was a youth pastor and music minister with over 40 years serving the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Bacchus was retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service. His legacy as a Godly, Christian role model has been passed on to his children. He was predeceased by his father, Jay P. Bacchus. Survivors include his wife, Shelia Lenderman Bacchus of Macon; three children, Lori Bacchus Judd of Macon, Jody Bacchus (Samantha) of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Andy Bacchus (Michelle) of Macon; seven grandchildren, Tayler Judd, Jon David Judd, Riley Bacchus, Ryder Bacchus, Drew Bacchus, Avery Grace Bacchus, and Addison Bacchus, one grandchild on the way due in March; mother, Colleen "Polly" Bacchus; brothers, Phillip Bacchus (Margaret), and Dennis Bacchus (Wendy); sisters, Debra Donaldson (Buddy), Beverly Kolnicky (Mike), and Gail Faulk (Charles).
