Jackie David Steed

Jackie David Steed passed away on March 8, 2016. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00AM at Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery, Round Oak, GA 31038 with the Reverends Debbie Wallace, Michael Quicke and Tommy Martin officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:30PM-8:30PM, at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Charlotte Wilson, 2267 Monticello Hwy., Round Oak, GA 31038, or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd., Macon, GA 31210. Jackie is predeceased by his parents William Horace and Cassie Crutchfield Steed. He was a member and secretary of Woodman of the World, Lodge 358 and served for 16 years as a part-time Jones County Deputy Sheriff. He was also a Forest Patrolman with the Georgia Forestry Commission. Jackie is survived by his wife, Ann Steed of Round Oak, GA; sons, Mike Steed (Pat) of Round Oak, GA, and Mark Steed (Angel) of Round Oak, GA; grandchildren, Bladen Steed, of Round Oak, GA, Brandee McCollum (Matt) of Gray, GA, Cassie Harrington (Krys) of Round Oak, GA, Kristie Denaro (Jesse) of Gray, GA, Christopher Whitehead of Okinawa, Japan, Active U.S. Navy, Alma Elizabeth Duvall of Greene Co., GA; great grandchildren, Chesney McCollum of Gray, GA and Colton, Cooper, and Harper Harrington of Round Oak, GA; aunt, Mildred Horosky of Pottstown, PA and many cousins.
