Jack R. Holloway, 83, of Jones County, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Greenwood Baptist Church with the Reverend Kim Washburn officiating. Family will receive visitors from 1-2pm at Greenwood Baptist Church. A private burial will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Holloway was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Holloway was a salesman for the Flowers Baking Company for 40 years. His greatest passions were studying the Bible, fishing, and enjoying his family. Born in Turner county, Mr. Holloway was the son of the late J. T. and Bea Holloway. He was also predeceased by his brother, Paul Gerald Holloway.
Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Holloway; son, Bob Holloway (Darlene) of Round Oak, Georgia; daughter, Beth Holloway Peavy (Rev. Barry) of Monroe, Georgia; five grandchildren, Tabitha Holloway Harrison (Bob), Amos Holloway (Amanda), Sarina Holloway Wilson (Jeff), Cameron Thrasher (Kaley), Clay Thrasher (Jana); four step grandchildren, Joshua Peavy (Vanessa), Thadd Peavy (Cara), Joseph Harrison, and Allison Harrison; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Nelva Holloway Wheeler of Lizella; and sister-in-law, Gloria Holloway of Ocala, Florida.
