Inez H. Hutchings

Macon- Inez H. Hutchings, 92, of 143 Ten Knolls Drive, died Friday, January 8, 2010. Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00AM at Highland Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Dant officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, GA 31211. Mrs. Hutchings was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Macon before joining Highland Hills Baptist Church where her husband was a minister of music for twenty years. She was a member of Seekers of the Truth Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hutchings was also a member of Vine-Ingle Garden Club, Macon Civic Women's Club, The Jim Dandies, the Senior Adult Choir at Highland Hills Baptist Church and Idle Hour Country Club. Mrs. Hutchings is survived by her children, Ann H. Surber (Ed) of Harrisburg, NC and Harriett H. Hooks (Bobby) of McDonough, GA; sister, Mary Alice Boyd of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Alden Bauer of Hilton Head, SC, Burgin Riley (Mark) of Columbia, SC, Helen Shoptaw (Jim) of London, KY, Bill Hooks (Deren) of Cairo, GA and Martha Ann Chilvers (Kevin) of Peachtree City, GA; six great-grandchildren.
