Ida Inez Horton Thomas died Friday, July 24, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Hart's at the Cupola. Mrs. Thomas was the head cashier for several Winn Dixie stores in Macon. She was predeceased by her sons, Joseph A. Thomas, Jr. and Floyd Lee Thomas, Sr., sisters, Mary Bates and Rosa Parker, and brother, Herbert Horton, Sr. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughters-in-law, Shirley A. Thomas of Macon and Patricia Thomas of Griffin, Georgia; grandchildren, Bonnie Thompson (Danny), Floyd Lee Thomas, Jr., Matthew (Anitra) Thomas, Paula Fortner and Jenny Gilreath; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and nephew, Herbert Horton, Jr. Register online at w ww.hartsmort.com.
