Herschel Griffin

Macon-Herschel Griffin died Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Graveside Services will be 11:00AM on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Mark Ledbetter officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, 2010 between 6:00-8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 5290 Arkwright Road, Macon GA 31210 or Hospice of Central Georgia, Sitter Fund, PO Box 6533 Macon, GA 31208.

Mr. Griffin was born in Jones County, GA to the late Isaac Marcus Griffin and the late Louella Bishop Griffin. He was a member of Park Memorial Methodist Church. He worked as a civil engineer at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA. Mr. Griffin was predeceased by his daughter, Charisse Manning; his brothers, Victor and Marcus Griffin; and his sister, Evelyn Dukes.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Gussie I. Griffin of Macon; son, Ritchie Griffin of Macon; and grandson, Coby Manning of Seattle, Washington.
