Henry Crocker Smith

Henry Crocker Smith, 74, of Macon, Georgia, passed away at home on Monday, February 3, 2025.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola, with Reverend Chip Miller officiating.  A reception will follow the service to honor the life of Crocker Smith.  Burial will be private at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Crocker was born on December 29, 1950, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Francis Daly and Berthenia Crocker Smith.  After a long career in the heavy equipment industry, he went to work with his son at Good Guys Moving and Delivery.  Crocker was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Macon. Crocker loved photography, music, cars and his family. He will be missed greatly.

Crocker is survived by his wife, Sarah “Sally” Smith; his children, Hunter Crocker Smith (Jessica) of Macon, Elizabeth Winchester Heim of Marietta, and Sarah Winchester Woods (Jason) of Savannah; his six grandchildren, Emily Banks Smith, Madeline McLain Heim, Brantley Walter Heim, Winchester Alan Woods, Harrison Lee Woods, and James Robert Woods; his brother, Francis Daly Smith, Jr., (Debbie) of Macon; his sister, Cleveland Smith Muecke of Midlothian, Virginia; his nephews, Alexander Daly Smith (Helen) and Joshua Michael Rader (Marlise); and his great niece, Chloe Rader. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Hal Muecke; and his nephew, Andrew Parrish Smith.
