Henry Mitchell Leslie

Macon- Henry "Big Henry" Leslie, 62, of 4588 Log Cabin Drive, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola with his nephew, Pastor Andy King officiating. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The family may be contacted at the residence of Heather and Paul Cunningham, 1102 Tucker Road and will greet friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203.

Henry, son of the late Bobbie Lee Leslie and the late Frances Moore Leslie Sutton, was predeceased by his brother, James Leslie and nephew, Randy Lee King. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the local chapter of the Marine Corps League. Henry was the owner of Carpet Salvage for thirty years. A graduate of Jones County High School and Shorter College, he was a football and basketball coach at Calhoun High School. His children, sister, nieces and nephews were the light of his life. He was an Atlanta Falcons fan and season ticket holder for thirty-five years.

Henry is survived by his wife, Linda Leslie of Macon; children, Stephen Nall (Erika) of Orlando, FL, Genia Asby Sutton of Atlanta and Heather Cunningham (Paul) of Macon; grandchildren, Rob and Wil Cunningham of Macon and Katie Shrivalle of Orlando, FL; sister, Faye Leslie King (Buddy) of Gray; brother, Carl Leslie (Nancy) of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces and nephews.
