Helene E. D'Arcangelo

After a long struggle with lung cancer, Helene E. D'Arcangelo passed away at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA on February 16, 2013, at the age of 78. She was born on February 4th, 1935 to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Prohaske of Brooklyn, NY. Helene graduated from The Barbizon School of Modeling, New York, NY in 1953. She modeled under the name of Helen Walker. On October 17, 1954, she married career USAF officer Arcangelo M. D'Arcangelo in New York City. After living in many places around the world, they moved to Macon,GA in 2010 to be closer to family. Surviving is her husband of 58 years; her brothers Eugene Prohaske of Montauk, NY, and Paul Prohaske of Ft. Meyers, FL; her daughters Sandra Chmelev from Cold Spring Harbor, NY and Debra Imker from Peachtree City, GA; grandchildren Nicholas and Michael Chmelev from Cold Spring Harbor, NY, Warren Imker from Huntsville, AL and Valerie Wilson from Stockbridge, GA; great-grandchildren Ava and Gavin Wilson from Stockbridge GA and Logan Imker from Huntsville, AL.
