Helen Marie Schubert

Macon- Helen Marie Schubert, 88, of 1231 Jackson Springs Road, died Thursday, November 19, 2009. Services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00PM at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Reverends Tommy Martin and Cile Mitchell officiating. Burial will be private. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends on Sunday from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, New York, New York 10005-4001. Mrs. Schubert was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player. She worked at the 1939 World's Fair in New York City. She lived in many cities including Los Angeles, New York City, St. Louis, Chicago and Fort Lauderdale. She enjoyed volunteer work, bridge and her grandchildren. Mrs. Schubert was predeceased by her husband of thirty-five years, Joseph Bela Schubert, her granddaughter, Christen White Cranford, her sister, Edna Tribout, and her brother, Roy Pacatte. Mrs. Schubert is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and James Palmer of Macon; grandchildren, Leyna Crenshaw and her husband Matthew of Marietta, GA, James Addison Palmer III of Sasebo, Japan and Cary O'Connor Palmer of Macon.
