Helen Walker Nolan

Helen Walker Nolan, 85, died on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St Paul's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Hal Weidman officiating. A private burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the church following the service. Mrs. Nolan was the daughter of the late William Brotherton Walker and the late Helen Mae Bradbury Walker. She was the widow of Q.R. "Sonny" Nolan. She graduated from Washington Seminary in Atlanta, attended the University of Louisville and also graduated from Georgia State University. Mrs. Nolan was President of the Federated Garden Club, a wedding consultant and the Bons Hommes Yule Ball director for over 40 years. Mrs. Nolan was the owner of Father Goose's International Toys until her recent illness. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Stoddard (Dale) of St. Simons Island, Georgia; sons, Quin Nolan (Kathy Hoskins) of Macon and Walker Nolan (Laurie) of Cumming, Georgia; five grandchildren, Tal Stoddard of St. Simons Island, Maggie Stoddard of New Orleans, Louisiana, Hayes Stoddard of St. Simons Island, Emily Nolan of Cumming, and Will Nolan of Cumming; and brother, Bill Walker (Dodie) of Jacksonville, Florida.
