Helen (Jackson) Jennings, age 88, of Macon, GA, surrounded by her loving family passed away peacefully at Pine Pointe Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Riverside United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. She was born April 27, 1927 in Uniontown, PA the beloved daughter of Thomas Jackson and Bessie (Welch) Jackson. She was an active member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Macon, GA and was retired from the V A Hospital in Decatur, GA as an administrative secretary. She and her husband moved to Macon, Ga in 1994. Helen was an avid bridge player and taught the Monday night ladies bridge club for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Frank Vernon Jennings; two brothers, John D. Humbert and William W. Jackson; two sisters, Leona J. McCracken and Ann J. McMonagle. She is survived by her two sons, Drs. Frank Vernon Jennings, Jr (Bonnie) of Doylestown, PA and Drs. Tim Jennings (Anne) of Albany, NY; daughter, Nancy Finney (Larry) of Macon, GA ; three grandchildren, Kimberly Finney Carmelich of Bristol, CT, Timothy Finney of Macon, GA and Morgan Jennings Austin of Seattle, WA; six great grandchildren, Ellis, Benjamin and Nicholas Carmelich of Bristol, CT, Jackson and Payton Finney of Macon, GA and Margaret Eloise Austin of Seattle, WA; sister in law, Marianne Humbert of Morgantown, W. VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Ave, Macon, GA 31204 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
