Helen Bridges Calhoun

Helen Bridges Calhoun, 100, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia on Saturday, January 9, 2016 with the Reverend Paul Battles officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Cartersville, 241 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Mrs. Calhoun was married 54 years to the late Homer Lee Calhoun, Jr. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Cartersville. Her whole life revolved around her church. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Robert R. Bridges and John E. "Bud" Bridges. Survivors include her son, Joe Calhoun (Diane) of Macon; granddaughter, Wendi L.
