Harold W. Richland, Jr.

Harold W. Richland, Jr., 77, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and children on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the chapel of Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at 2:00 pm. Mr. Harold will be laid to rest at Monroe Memorial Gardens located in Forsyth, Georgia.

Harold was born on April 11, 1948, in Hialeah, Florida, to the late Harold Richland, Sr. and Marjorie Fair Richland. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Robert’s Diesel Services in Florida.

Harold loved spending time with his family and making everyone laugh. He loved to tell stories, watch movies, and cook delicious meals for his family. Harold admired God’s beauty in nature and working in his garden. He loved watching his birds and his beloved Jack Russell, Abby.

Harold is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Donna Richland; his children, Joseph Scarborough (Krista), Harold III (Tripp) Richland (Kristy), Andy Richland (Whitney), Jim Richland (Jenna), and Katie Whitley (Patrick); his grandchildren, Drew Scarborough, Hunter Richland, Noah Richland, Isaac Richland, Evan Scarborough, Clara Richland, Avery Richland, Andrew Richland, Welles Whitley, and Scout Whitley; and his brother, Bernard Richland. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James F. Richland; and his sister, Louise Stone.
