Macon- Harold F. Hampton, 63, of 685 Will Scarlet Way, died Sunday, November 6, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Marc Foster officiating. Burial will be private. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
Mr. Hampton was the owner and operator of Harold Hampton Trucking LLC (Ocmulgee Trucking) and was formerly employed at Reeves Construction. He was an avid fisherman and a hard worker. Mr. Hampton was predeceased by his brother, Bobby Hampton.
Mr. Hampton is survived by his best friend and companion, B. J. Hampton of Macon; daughter, Stacie Tyson (Brian) of East Dublin; sons, Waylon Hampton (Cherri Lynn) of Forsyth and Sean Hampton (Kim) of Macon; grandchildren, Matt Hampton of Dublin, Sydney Hampton of Forsyth, Cameron Hampton, Chase Hampton and Marissa Hampton, all of Macon; sister, Ruth Fife (Frank) of Gray; brother, Sammy Hampton (Peggy) of Gray; uncle, James "Red" Bolinger (Patty) of Brunswick; many nieces and nephew; canine companion, Jonathan "Sarge" Hampton.
