Harold Wright "Hal" Muecke, Jr.

Harold Wright Muecke, Jr., of Macon, died Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Mr. Muecke was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Dr. and Mrs. Harold Wright Muecke, Sr.  After graduating from Mercer University, he was in the first class of Physician Assistants at Emory University.  He returned to Macon and served as head of Employee Health at the Medical Center for many years.  He later joined the staff of Mercer Medical School.  After retirement, he and his wife, Cleveland, enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Mr. Muecke is survived by his loving wife, Cleveland Smith Muecke; son, Joshua Michael Rader (Marlise), of Richmond, Virginia; granddaughter, Chloe Rader; brothers-in-law, Daly Smith (Debbie), and Crocker Smith (Sally), both of Macon, Georgia; and nephews, Zan Smith (Helen), of Atlanta, Georgia, and Hunter Crocker Smith (Jessica), of Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services will be private.

Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
