Gregory Wood Pickren

Gregory Pickren, 66, of Gray GA, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 12:30 PM. Reverend Steve Johnson will be officiating. The family will greet friends at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel from 11AM until 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jones Center for Diabetes, 265 Sheraton Blvd, Macon GA 31210.

Gregory had a strong love for his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He also loved traveling to the coast and going on cruises. Gregory could fix anything that was broken.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Joan Pickren; Daughters, Sherry (James) Lee, Lynn (Jimmy) Edwards, Tracey (Daniel) McMichael and Melissa (Mickey) Thompson; Sister, Susan Reid; Grandchildren, Robert Armstrong, Chris McMichael, Leanna Edwards, Lee Edwards and Kyle Edwards; nephew, Ronnie Henry; and his beloved pet, Peanut.

Gregory is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bonnie Pickren and his brother, Glenn Pickren.

At the family’s request, in remembrance of Gregory, casual dress may be worn.
