Greg Allen Van Kirk

August 10, 1961 — December 29, 2015

Greg Allen Van Kirk, 54, of Macon, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Greg was the son of George Van Kirk and the late Shirley Huffman Van Kirk. Born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, he served in the United States Air Force and the Alaska Air National Guard. He was a former employee of Macon Northside Hospital and the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Amber Bass Van Kirk; daughter, Leslie Kate Van Kirk of Valdosta, Georgia; stepdaughter, Morgan Savanna Bass; son, Cade Allen Van Kirk; and a brother, Gary (Kathy) Van Kirk of Junction City, Oregon. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on Friday, January 1, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Pastor Mark Grinsted officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the Cupola. Burial will be private. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, PO Box 12268, Newport News, Virginia 23612. Muraina, Dr. Schnell, and the staff of Central Georgia Cancer Care, Dr. William Fackler, Navicent Health Infusion Center staff, and Dr. S.
