Gordon Wilson Heath

Gordon Wilson Heath, dearly loved brother, uncle, and friend leaped into the arms of Jesus Friday, November 6, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, November 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with a private burial in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Visitation; Wednesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Gordon was born February 27, 1933 in Oklahoma City. Confined to a wheelchair at 16, Gordon remained a constant encourager. His vivacious personality, grateful spirit and faith in God never wavered. After growing up in Fort Worth Texas, he graduated from Texas Christian University and moved to Macon, which became his lifelong home. He cherished his family and numerous friends who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his precious parents, Ella T. and Herman Henry Heath. Gordon is survived by his devoted sister, Anne Hamm and her husband T.Z., nieces and nephews Anne Green, Lisa and Stephen Webster, Tommy and Mary Hamm, 11 great nieces and great nephews of Fort Worth, Texas and numerous cousins.
