Glynn Edwin Stuart

Glynn Edwin Stuart, 83, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Glynn E. Son of the late Willie Phelps Stuart and Sarah May Stuart, Glynn was born in Forsyth, Georgia on October 5, 1940. He was a 1958 graduate of Mary Persons High School, and furthered his education at Macon State College, where he earned a degree in business. His career spanned 40 years as a respected finance manager, where his keen insights and steadfast reliability cemented his reputation in the professional community.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glynn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and an avid lover of baseball where he played in the minor leagues. He cherished the time spent at Vine Ingle, guiding and mentoring young players alongside his sons. His passion for photography and classic cars, particularly his prized 2004 Thunderbird, brought him immense joy.  He also loved spending time with his beloved son and “sidekick,” Chad.

Glynn is survived by his wife, Linda Middleton Stuart of Macon; son, Todd Middleton Stuart (Iana) of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Chaffin Stuart; grandchildren: Sally Birdsong Stuart, Henry Middleton Stuart, James Ford Christopher Stuart, Hannah Mason Vann (Devin), Robby Lynn Phipps, Reece Michelle Stuart, Sydney Dianne Stuart, Sawyer Faye Stuart, and Sayge Ansley Stuart; great grandchild, Nora Layne Vann; adopted son, James Edgar Mink, of Macon; nieces and nephews, Janet Stuart Pierson (George) of Culloden, Georgia, Shirley Quevedo (Carlos) of Macon, and Shane Stuart (Ashley) of Forsyth, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, Glynn was preceded in death by his two sons, James Chadwick “Chaddie” Stuart and Christopher Glynn Stuart; and brothers, Phelps Stuart and Billy Stuart.
