Gladys Ruth Peavy Wooten

Gladys Ruth Peavy Wooten, formerly of Jones County, went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her children on Friday, August 18, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 21, 2017, at 4:00PM, in Hart's Mortuary's Jones County Chapel. The Reverend Len Woodard will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 119 Country World Drive, Macon, GA 31211, in Jones County. Mrs. Wooten was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Belk's. She loved spending time with her family and loved going fishing. Mrs. Wooten never met a stranger and loved spending time talking with friends and family. Survivors: Son, Richard (Carol) Soles; Daughter, Angie (Lee) McKinney; Daughter, Joy (Henry) Butts; Son, Ray (Debbie) Soles; Step children, Catherine Wooten and Ronnie Wooten; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and 2 grandpups, Magnum and Max.
