Gladys Evelyn Newman

Gladys Evelyn Newman, 91, of Macon, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 2:00PM at Macon Memorial Park. The Reverend Herbert Williams will officiate. The family will greet friends on Saturday at the graveside from 1:00PM until 2:00PM and may be contacted at the residence. Mrs. Newman was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Dock Hulett and the late Nellie Knight Hulett and the wife of the late Robert C. Newman. She was predeceased by her brothers, J. D. Hulett and H. J. Hulett, and a sister, Mary Graham. Mrs. Newman is survived by her nieces and nephews, Debbie Allen (Stan) of Covington, Georgia, Sonya Spires (Craig), Joey Hulett (Twilla) and Lisa Hulett, all of Macon, Butch Hulett (Marty) of Springfield, Missouri, Skip Hulett (Dana) of Athens, Georgia, Mary Beth Harvey (Wendell) and Angie Horne (Richard), all of Macon; several great-nieces and great-nephews and close friends, Helen Collins and Charlie DuRant, both of Macon.
