Gladys Brooks

Gladys F. Brooks died Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Graveside services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Reverends Bill Tyre and Terry Theus officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Mrs. Brooks was the widow of James Ellis Brooks, Sr. She was the daughter of the late John Bennett Freeman and the late Sarah Eunice Stone. She was a member at St. Andrew Christian Church. Mrs. Brooks was also predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Bohannon.

Survivors include her daughter, Sara Ann Brooks Bohannon of Macon; son, Jim Brooks of Macon; former daughter-in-law, Mary W. Brooks of Macon; two grandsons, Gary Bohannon (Stephanie) of Warner Robins, and Tom Carr (Taffy) of Macon; three great grandchildren, Sydney, Chandler, and Jackson Bohannon, all of Warner Robins; and brother, P.H. Freeman (Martha) of Smyrna, Georgia.
