Gladys Joe Arnold Stroup

Gladys Joe Arnold Stroup, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made Hephzibah Children's Home, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31210. Mrs. Stroup was born in Macon and was a graduate of Miller High school. She retired from Southern Bell as an engineering clerk. Mrs. Stroup was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise Slade Fleetwood and brothers, Marion J. Arnold and Clyde Ronald Ware. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Eugene Harold Stroup; son, David (Carolyn) Stroup; grandchildren, James W. Stroup and Kelly L. Stroup; father, J. W. Arnold; brothers, Jimmy (Debra) Arnold, Royce (Connie) Arnold, Jimmy (Renee) Ware; sister, Joyce Arnold; special friend, Shelia Stokes; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
