Gerald "Jerry" Dean Clark

Lizella-Jerry D. Clark, 76, died Monday, January 9, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Reverend Rob Farr officiating. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Church, 621 Foster Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Mr. Clark served in the United States Navy and was on the USS Wright toward the end of the Korean conflict. He retired after 55 years as a Master Interior Carpenter in Indiana. After retirement, Jerry and Anna moved to Lizella, Georgia. He was a member of Emmanuel Church and volunteered in the kitchen during fellowship dinner events. His hobbies included wood carving and gardening. Mr. Clark was predeceased by his parents, Harold Hine Clark and Marian Evelyn Winzler Clark; brother, William Clark; and sister, Marilyn Fenter. Survivors include his wife, Anna Jeanette Clark of Lizella; son, Jerry Clark, Jr. (Donna) of Cloverdale, Indiana; daughter, Susan Dowdell (Rick) of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Joshua Clark, Michael Clark, Tonya Clark, Brittany Dowdell, Ricky Dowdell, Nicole Dowdell, and Chad Dowdell; six great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Barbier of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother, Jim Clark of Sun City West, Arizona; and brother, Michael Clark of Engadine, Michigan.
