George Richard Underwood, Jr., of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday March, 15, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Christian Church located at 6220 Thomaston Rd, Macon GA 31220. The family will greet friends and family following the service. George was proceeded in death by his parents, Dorothy & George Richard Underwood, Sr. (Evelyn) and Eugene & Katie Haywood; his son, Grant Nicholas Underwood; and his siblings, Donald Haywood and Julia Blount. George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Garrie Brewer Underwood; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jason Batchelor; grandson, Conner Avery Batchelor; and granddaughter, Dorian Sloan Underwood; Siblings, Ron Underwood, Grady Underwood and Juanita Underwood; sister-in-law's, Candy Brewer, Naomi Mullis and Barbara Haywood; brother-in-law, Julian Blount; and several nieces and nephews.
